Crafting a Narrative for a Story
Soul Eater Now - personal project
This personal project of mine is an exemplar of my skills in comics. It shows my abilites in character design, consistency and storytelling. Inspired by the series Soul Eater, it tells the story of a student at Soul Eater Academy as he aims to fight witches.
The goal of this project was to tell my story and explore the art of the characters I created while maintaining consistency throughout the panels, both of which I feel I have successfully achieved.
Ballet - for BC ballet
This is a comic about BC ballet and it was made with the goals of increasing awareness of the organization and goals, specifically, their aim to make dance accessible to all walks of life and to encourage people to explore dance as a medium of self-expression.
The story follows Nia who despite her own self-doubt and the judgment of her friends decides to try out and pursue her passion in dance
Reflection
I was able to utilise my skills in storyboarding, scripting and composition in order to create these basic comics along with that I was able to explore multiple different rendering styles and illustration techniques unique to comic medium.
